Hello to everyone here and a Howdy to my fellow Aggies reading this, let me begin by introducing myself. My name is Molly Leach and I am currently an undergraduate at Texas A&M University in Galveston where I am studying Marine Biology. I didn’t originally come from Texas though, I was born and raised in a small town in the middle of the California Desert called Ridgecrest. Never heard of it? Neither has anyone else. It is important to know a little about someone before diving into a journey with them, but all this small talk has nothing to do with the actual reason why I am sitting here, writing this blog, right now. So, let me reintroduce myself. Hi, my name is Molly and the only goal I’ve ever had in life is to be happy. Sounds pretty basic right? But its true. I never had a dream job or anything like that, and I still don’t. Trying to pick a major was a nightmare, I’m still not confident in my choice but that is a different story. When people ask me, what do I want to be when I grow up, I say happy. Of course, as a little kid I had dreams of being a vet, or a firefighter, or an actress or something but as I got older, none of those titles felt right. In fact, no specific title other than ‘Happy’ felt right to me, and still feels right to me. Happiness is a common goal, but the meaning of happiness is a little different for everyone. My idea of happiness? Spending my time doing things that leave memories whether that be traveling, going to carnivals, or camping. The little stuff. My hope for this blog is for it to be a place full of information on how to live a happy life, based on your own standard, and not feel guilty for it. I hope that it is a site that will inspire others to continue to chase their happiness no matter how far they are in life. I plan on focusing around some topics like healthy living, travel, etc. but I also hope to have variance in my blog by allowing my page to be open to guest submissions. You don’t have to be a blogger to submit work to me, I’ll take any submissions whether it be articles you wrote, art, poems, whatever. The only thing I ask is for the general vibe to be positive, adventurous, or anything of the sort. I will get more into the details about submissions later, but for now. Sit back and enjoy life for a little bit. Thank you all for joining me on this journey, whether you are the first person to read this post or the latest, I appreciate every ounce of support along the way. I hope that this will build into something great and inspiring and I hope to see many join me in this journey of growth, not just as a blog, but potentially as a person. Welcome to Happy Hippie Living.
